Basically active adults are people in their sunset years around fifty five years and above but can still walk. Mostly, these people predominantly have health issues such as weight, blood pressure and so on. By the large, exercise and active living can address some of this health issues. Anaerobic exercises are a group of exercise that are usually rhythmic and involve major muscle groups. They are also predominantly continuous and can be carried out for an extended period of time. Doing them on a day to day basis will keep you fit, increase your stamina and general health. On average, experts recommend that they be carried out for at least for thirty minutes almost daily.

Taking on sports can also increase you activity and basically gives you a chance to interact with friends and colleagues as you play. Team sports such as football, basketball, softball and soccer are very ideal. If you are more into individual sports, swimming is a good sport to take as it works almost all the muscle groups. Golf can also be good for you more so if you will be walking the course. Generally, the idea is to enjoy yourself rather than taking this as a chore.

Callisthenic exercises and weight lifting are one of the best ways to keep active. Some of the commonest callisthenic exercises you could do include chin ups, sit ups, sit ups and squats. These groups of callisthenic exercises work almost all the body muscles.
